Impeccably sourced, rare vintage jewelry
victorian opal and diamond four-points gold ring
The Story
Here at Fox & Bond, we think opals are pure magic, so we flipped when we found this Victorian era made piece.
At center and done in 18 karat yellow gold is a gorgeous prong-set opal cabochon measuring 5.9 mm tall x 4.35 mm wide. There are four prong-set diamonds at north, south, east, each weighing 0.03 carats for an approximate total diamond weight of 0.12 carats. The semitransparent clear background color of the water opal shows great play-of-color in the pink/orange/yellow/and blue spectrum that will keep you gazing into the "crystal ball".
Originally found as a Victorian era stickpin, we knew this love token was destined to become someones new favorite ring so we had it set on a 14 karat yellow gold band to match.
We love this delicate ring worn on its own or worn with other favorite pieces.
As always with opals and other soft stones, wear with care! See our JEWELRY CARE page for more info on how to wear and store your pieces.
