The Story

Known as the Coin of Love, these romantic love tokens are a jewelry collectors dream!  The text "QU'HIER/QUE DEMAIN" meaning YESTERDAY/TOMORROW symbolizes the romantic phrase "I love you more today and less than tomorrow" written by Rosemonde Gerard in 1907.

This large scale 14k yellow gold example, circa 1960s - 1970s, is a special find.  The background is textured while the rim and text "je t'aime plus qu'hier et moins que demain" are raised in smooth polished gold.  At the bottom is a heart with 3 diamonds, each approximately 0.02 carats for a total of approximately 0.06 carats.

Love coins like this are highly collectible and sought after. This one, marked "Merrin" on the back, was made by the prominent American jewelry maker during the second half of the 20th century.

Measuring 1.46 inches tall with its 14 karat bale x 1.18 wide and round, it's a nice substantial size.  It looks great worn on its own or layered up with your other favorites.
