The Details

An antique locket from the early 1900s done 10 karat rosy-yellow gold. A repoussé design of leaves and berries make up the naturalistic design. The reverse of the piece sees a hand engraved monogram ornate in style.

Measuring 1.33 inches tall, the locket shows rich patina making the raised work pop.

Art Nouveau was a brief, but glorious period of design at the end of the 19th century, circa 1895-1905. Characteristic for its depiction of natural elements, particularly flora and fauna, beautiful women were often shown as well. This locket is a fantastic example of the art form.
