Impeccably sourced, rare vintage jewelry
art deco star ruby and diamond 14k gold cluster ring
The Story
This 14k white gold Art Deco cluster ring is a sight to behold!
Sitting at the center is a striking sugarloaf cabochon star ruby with a crisp 6 point star. This optical effect, called asterism, is found some stones due to light reflecting off interior inclusions. Bezel set, it's surrounded by a halo of 10 chunky Old Mine cut diamonds each weighing approximately 0.08 carats. All set within a uniform circular shape, the look is Art Deco perfection. The band starts with two smaller diamonds, each 0.02 carats for a total diamond weight of approximately 0.90 carats for the ring.
From circa 1930s-1940, this ring is in amazing condition.
The star ruby makes the ring pop with color! With every move of the hand, the stones give off a new color or effect, making it dynamic and exciting. It looks amazing when worn and with its universally flattering shape and size, it's a crowd favorite. We love it on its own or paired with other favorite pieces. It would make a fantastic and unique engagement ring.
