The Story
A sweet as can be antique charm from the mid to late 1800s. From the Victorian era, the petite heart shaped piece is filled with 15 old mine cut diamonds giving the piece an all over sparkle. Three old cut rubies sit at the center and add a bright pop of color.
We believe this to be a part of a larger piece of jewelry that was taken apart many years ago. Tested at 14k gold, you can see the under layer which appears to be a different base metal. We imagine in starting its life as part of an ornate, festooned necklace or as a link to a bracelet.
Measuring a petite 0.65 inches tall with bale, it's a sweet charm to add to your charm bracelet, wear as a necklace, or stacked with your favorite pieces. A delicate heart charm is always a desired treasure and this antique piece would make a fantastic love token.
