victorian diamond navette 14k gold ring

The Story

We love a navette shaped ring, especially when it's covered in chunky old cut diamonds like these.

Dating back to the late Victorian era, circa 1890s-1905, this lovely ring features 21 diamonds, a mixture of Old Mine cut and old single cuts.  It sparkles bright with approximately 0.44 carats in total diamond weight.  The center diamonds are set in platinum while the rest of the ring is done in 14k yellow gold giving it a warm, glowing feel.  This practice of mixing metals and setting the diamonds in white is thought to give them a brighter look.

Measuring 0.61 inches in length at center, the elongated navette shape of the ring takes up great real estate on your finger.  We think it would make an incredible engagement ring or a stunning right-hand ring that looks amazing worn on any finger.
