"ich leib dich" 14k gold spinner charm

The Story

This vintage spinning charm makes the perfect love token. The flat round disc sees engraved letters on each side "I H L E E D C" on one, "C I B I H" on the other, so when spun reads "ICH LEIB DICH", meaning "I love you" in German. It finishes with floral detailing on the frames top.

Constructed in 14 karat yellow gold from the early to mid 20th century, spinning charms are one of our favorite finds. First invented in the 1920s, spinner charms hit peak popularity in the 1950s. The playfulness and interactive nature of these charms makes them a great conversation piece. Increasingly rare, charms from this era are getting harder to find, so to find a spinner in great condition like this is a special treasure.

A great charm to add to your charm bracelet, wear as a necklace, or stacked with your favorite pieces.

How do you want to wear your new charm? Choose a 16” or 18” chain, a hoop earring, or just the charm itself.
