Impeccably sourced, rare vintage jewelry
kutchinsky modernist diamond and 18k gold cocktail ring
The Story
A gorgeous vintage cocktail ring from the English jewelry maker Kutchinsky. A chic bi-color gold piece from the 1970s it's a substantial size and shape. Made from 18 karat yellow and white gold it's perfectly in step with the era. The gorgeous design seamlessly wraps from the front to the side and features approximately 2 carats of vintage brilliant cut diamonds set in white gold. Weighing between 0.02 carats and 0.20 carats, they create a beautifully uniform surface of sparkle. Framing the diamonds on either side and wrapping around the back is an 18 karat yellow gold band. It sits up creating a high, period perfect profile.
With its unique design, this ring is a chic and special piece. It feels amazing on the finger and looks fantastic on its own or worn with other favorite pieces.
Since the 1890s, the London based Kutchinsky has been a well-know jewelry maker. With attention to quality and craft, they were known for their well-made and well-designed pieces. This piece was made in the 1970s when the firm was focused on larger, more eye-catching pieces right in step with the style of seventies. Often made in 18 karat gold with fine stones, this ring is a perfect example of a late era Kutchinsky piece.
