Impeccably sourced, rare vintage jewelry
art nouveau woman's head diamond and 12k gold charm
The Story
A beautiful antique charm from the Art Nouveau era made from 12 karat yellow gold. We believe the piece started its life as a stick pin, and depicts a beautiful woman's head within a stylized question mark, all indicative of the time period. An old mine cut diamond weighing approximately 0.03 carats is bezel set at bottom, while two small antique rose cuts are tucked into her neck.
Art Nouveau was a brief, but glorious period of design at the end of the 19th century, circa 1895-1905. Characteristic for its depiction of natural elements, particularly flora and fauna, beautiful women were often shown as well. This charm is a fantastic example of the art form.
Measuring 0.88 inches tall with its bale, it's a sweet charm to add to your charm bracelet, wear as a necklace, or stacked with your favorite pieces.
How do you want to wear your new charm? Choose a 16” or 18” chain, or just the charm itself.
