garnet and emerald 14k gold earrings

The Story

A bold and dramatic color combo makes for a gorgeous pair of antique dangle earrings.

Done in 14 karat yellow gold, the top portion of these stunning earrings features an oval cut faceted garnet, surrounded by a cluster of 11 old cut, richly colored emeralds on each earring.  The pear-shaped cabochon garnet at bottom sways with the wearer adding movement to the design.

Without hallmarks, they are hard to date exactly, but we believe them to most likely have been made in Europe in the late 1800s to early 1900s.  Post backs were added later making us believe they were originally from a larger piece of jewelry (like a fabulous bib necklace) or had different earring backings at their birth.

A striking pair, you'll love these heirloom earrings for a lifetime.
