The Story
A gorgeous antique French pendant filled with color and light. Made from warm 18 karat yellow gold, bright and beautiful colors come together to create the appearance of a stained glass window. The Plique-à-jour enamel is masterfully done throughout and is in amazing condition.
Measuring 1.37 inches tall with its bale, it's a substantial size without being overpowering.
Plique-à-jour, meaning letting in daylight in French, is an enameling technique done with no backing which allows light to shine through. It's extremely hard to make, but the final product resembles stained glass.
