The Story

A stunning antique piece from the Art Nouveau era, perfect for holding your loved ones close. Created in rich 18 karat yellow gold, a repoussé design of a Griffin with a diamond next to its mouth is the focus of the piece. Surrounding the center creature are decorative elements in indicative of the design period.

The locket shows its age in the best possible way with rich patina making the raised work pop and gold glow. Measuring 1.5 inches tall with bale, it holds 2 photos of your loved one. It's a great size to wear alone or anchor your necklace stack.

Art Nouveau was a brief, but glorious period of design at the end of the 19th century, circa 1895-1905. Characteristic for its depiction of natural elements, particularly flora and fauna, beautiful women were often shown as well. This locket is a fantastic example of the art form.
