The Story
Two bright and beautiful pearls meet to create a classic "toi et moi" design. Set in platinum, both 9 mm silvery white pearls are luminescent and look perfect set in the white metal. Tapering down from the center are 12 diamond baguettes, six on each side, weighing a total of 0.42 carats.
A French saying, “Toi et Moi” means You and Me and in jewelry refers to a ring that showcases two stones symbolizing two people. These were common engagement rings during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, symbolizing two souls that are intertwined. The ring that is believed to have started the trend was a diamond and sapphire engagement ring given by Napoleon to Josephine in 1776.
A gorgeous late Art Deco piece, we love this ring worn on its own or stacked with other favorite pieces. Measuring 0.63 inches tall at center, it looks amazing on the finger.
