Antique jewelry for the modern woman
scorpio 18k gold and plique-à-jour enamel charm
A gorgeous vintage 18 karat yellow gold charm centering around the Scorpio symbol, done in bright green plique-à-jour enamel.
Plique-à-jour, meaning letting in daylight in French, is an enameling technique done with no backing which allows light to shine through. It's extremely hard to make, but the final product resembles stained glass. This one is in amazing condition and should be worn with care.
Measuring 1.2 inches tall with a tapered bale x 0.79 inch round, it looks great on its own or layered with other favorites. It's a nice piece to add to your charm bracelet or to wear as a necklace or earring.
How do you want to wear your new charm? Choose a 16” or 18” chain, a hoop earring, or just the charm itself.
