The Story
This gorgeous antique chain and locket makes an incredible heirloom set. Made during the early part of the 20th century, a bi-color locket hangs front and center. Made from 18 karat rosy-yellow gold, the unusually shaped locket is accented with platinum. The decoration makes a buckle going north/south with 3-dimensional detailing. The locket holds 2 oval photos measuring 0.86" x 0.55", making it a sought after love token.
It hangs from an incredibly woven chain done in platinum and 18k gold with interlocking links. Highly ornate with beautiful detailing, the look and feel of the gold is rich and luxurious. The craftsmanship of the piece is amazing, all handmade. The necklace measures 20 inches in length, an extra special find as chains of this caliber are getting increasingly rare.
This piece looks fantastic on its own or worn layered with other chains and necklaces.
