The Story
Snakes have a long and rich history in jewelry dating back to Ancient Greece and Rome, where snakes symbolized wisdom. The Victorians often wore snakes to symbolize everlasting love, with a coiled snake representing eternity.
This snake ring is a beautiful example. Made late in London in 1920 from rich 18 karat yellow gold, two coiled snakes make up the ring's design. The two snake heads meet at the center and cross over. Set in each snake head is an Old European Cut diamond weighing 0.10 carats giving the ring a total diamond weight of approximately 0.20 carats.
Simple details complete the face with a delicate mouth and eyes. The ring band design feels fantastic on as it coils around the finger. A memorable and unique ring filled with symbolism will surely be your new favorite heirloom.
