Impeccably sourced, rare vintage jewelry
victorian diamond starburst, pearl, and black enamel locket
Sentimental and striking, this Victorian starburst locket, circa 1880s-1900, is an antique treasure. Large in scale, the 14 karat yellow gold piece sees a chunky old mine cut diamond weighing approximately 0.35 carats. Set within an 8-point starburst setting in matte yellow gold with shiny black enamel all around, it creates a striking combination. On the outer rim of the locket are 48 pearls in trefoil clusters, each pearl measuring 2.5 mm. At top is a removable bale with 3 additional pearls.
Measuring over two inches tall, it's a bold size and shape. The back reveals a beveled glass photo area that accommodates an image 1.2" tall x 0.76" wide.
The locket comes without a chain so you can add it to the piece of your choice. It's also available to purchase on the F&B 18-inch 14k yellow gold belcher chain or the F&B 20-inch 14k yellow gold paperclip chain seen here.
