victorian swallow garnet and 14k gold earrings

The Story

A antique pair of 14 karat yellow gold earrings with a romantic meaning.  The swallows, made during the Victorian era, symbolize love and happiness.  The birds are made from four old cut garnets set in closed and foil backed 14 karat yellow gold settings.  The garnets display in slightly different colors giving them a cool, fun feel.

We believe the birds were part of a larger piece of Victorian era jewelry, but were converted into earrings with post backs long ago.

A lovely pair of earrings with romantic symbolism, you'll find yourself reaching for these beauties year after year.
