"wednesday child" 14k gold charm

The Story

A rare and unusual vintage day of the week charm made in 14k yellow gold.  Created as a disc, the words "Wednesday's Child Is Free of Woe" are raised between a baby holding an umbrella.  This comes from the poem Monday's Child, an Old English nursery rhyme meant to help children learn the days of the week.  The poem reads:

Monday’s child is fair of face
Tuesday’s child is full of grace
Wednesday’s child is full of woe
Thursday’s child has far to go
Friday’s child is loving and giving
Saturday’s child works hard for his living
And the child that is born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay

Measuring 1.06 inch tall with bale x 0.75 inches round, it looks great on its own or layered with other favorites.  A wonderful charm to add to your charm bracelet, or to wear as a necklace or earring.

How do you want to wear your new charm? Choose a 16” or 18” chain, a hoop earring, or just the charm itself.
